As mentioned, the idea was to get the car ready for the road ASAP, and minimise work on mechanicals. So as soon as the car was back together we tried to drive it a little so we could work out what was wrong with it!
So, in 9 months we had got it ready for me to start my postgraduate university course. Ok, it wasnt fully rebuilt (note the rusty wheels in the pic below), but it looked great and was physically strong again.
Now i could concentrate on driving it and doing running repairs (hopefully of the mechanical variety).
