Ahhh…it’ a sad end for a TR.. As I said elsewhere, the car is now laid up in a chicken shed waiting for a new dawn. Its engine is still lively but the chassis is way past it’s best…paying teh price for 4 years living by the sea??

However, it’s a good lesson in corrosion for everbody…all the “normal” faults have returned. These are not repaired areas, but indications that if you take teh same parts that Triumph used and assemble them in the same way…then the same problems occur. Makes me think carefully about the value of originality..

Look at a modern car and apart from vastly improved design there are 2 important features: Seam sealer protects everything and plastic wheelarch liners are standard…2 lessons i will try to take to heart when KKG 404 E rises again…..
